Tom Hutyler knows many of you share his passion for high school athletics. Whether as a player, parent, alumni, student, family member, or coach, almost everybody has some connection to one or more schools.

So, filling an underserved area of radio in the Puget Sound area, we present the KOMO Prep Sports hour, devoted to providing you with a conduit to the athletes and coaches, and a chance to hear the wonderful stories that otherwise might go untold.

From time to time, we also feature former high school athletes who have gone onto college or professional athletics. Previous guests have included Seahawks like Marcus Trufant (Wilson HS, Tacoma) and Bryce Fisher (Seattle Prep); Mariners like Willie Bloomquist (S.Kitsap) and many others.

Hear the show each Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. on KOMO 1000, except when there's a conflict with Mariner broadcasts, at which time the show will follow the Mariners postgame show.
